No execution proceedings shall be taken in respect of the judgment of any court in the exercise of its civil jurisdiction after the elapse of twelve years from the time of the delivery of such judgment, or where such judgment is in favour of a person under disability, after the elapse of six years from the cesser of such disability, whichever period is the longer.
