50. (1) A police officer may stop and search a person whom the police officer reasonably suspects to be in contravention of a curfew or cordon imposed under section 49. Police Act (2021 Revision) Section 51 c Revised as at 31st December, 2020 Page 47
The search of a person under this section shall be carried out by a police officer of the same sex as that person.
Where a police officer, with reasonable cause, suspects that section 49 has been contravened the police officer may arrest without a warrant anyone whom that police officer, with reasonable cause, suspects to be guilty of the contravention.
