How marriages to be registered

Immediately after the solemnisation of a marriage the Marriage Officer before whom it is solemnised shall register it in duplicate, that is to say in a Marriage Register Book to be kept by him for the purpose, and also in a duplicate form attached to the Marriage Register Book as a counterfoil, and the entry of such marriage both in the Marriage Register Book and the duplicate shall be signed by the Marriage Officer, by the parties married and by two witnesses.
The Register shall contain the particulars and be in the form indicated in Schedule L.
