Marriage facilities of British subjects

Where a marriage is intended to be solemnised or contracted in the United Kingdom between a British subject resident in England, Scotland or Ireland and a British subject resident in the Islands, a certificate by a Civil Registrar of the due publication of the notice of an intended marriage or a certificate by a Marriage Officer of the due publication of banns may be granted in the like manner as if the marriage was to be solemnised or contracted under the circumstances requiring the grant of such a certificate under section 17 or 18, and as if both such British subjects were resident in the Islands.
